Program Overview

Welcome to the MSKUS Diplomate Program by The American Academy of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound (AAMU).

At AAMU, we are committed to offering the most advanced and comprehensive programs in Musculoskeletal Sonography worldwide.

Our Diplomate Program consists of two, 3-day modules that begin by providing you a comprehensive presentation of basic principles of ultrasound and the normal sonoanatomy of the upper and lower extremities including wrist, hand, elbow, shoulder, ankle, foot, knee, hip, and spine.

Following a didactic lecture for each joint, you will view scanning demonstrations, learn detailed scanning protocols, and begin hands-on practice sessions. These sessions will help you to become familiar with handling the ultrasound device, accurately and efficiently obtaining and labeling images, and learning how to interpret the results effectively.

The third day of each 3-day module consists of 1 Live Upper/Lower Extremity Pathology designed to take your MSKUS knowledge to the next level, followed by access to our Report Writing Module.

Upon successfully completing the Diplomate Program, you will possess in-depth knowledge and practical skills to incorporate musculoskeletal ultrasound into your practice.

As diagnostic sonography rapidly becomes the standard of care for visualizing musculoskeletal anatomy, our program positions you as a trailblazer in the healthcare profession!
